PCTA Leadership Award
This annual award recognizes dynamic leaders who have contributed to the vision and leadership of the Physician Clinical Teachers’ Association. The individual has provided outstanding service to the PCTA, advocating on behalf of the members to support their interests in clinical education, research, and innovation.

Eligibility
Physician Clinical Teachers at NOSM U, who are group physicians, and hold a current certificate of registration issued by the CPSO. PCTA Board Members are not eligible to be nominated for the award during their term of office.
Criteria of the PCTA Leader
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence and innovation in the leadership of the NOSM U physician clinical teachers.
- Has had a lasting impact on the physician clinical teacher’s clinical education delivery model, clinical innovation, and the establishment of measurable outcomes to support physician clinical teachers.
- Promotes EDI
- Advocated on behalf of the members of OMA, NOSM U, and other relevant organizations.
- Evidence of effective peer leadership and mentorship ability in their roles.
- Embodies and integrates the values of professionalism, communicator, collaborator, manager, and advocate as evidenced in their achievements.
- Fair, effective, and collaborative leadership style.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice, research, and teaching.
